The Only Real Social Network is People.
How many more people could you meet in the real world if you knew they were approachable and you knew exactly what to say? What if we threw in a few safety features to reduce the risk even further? What if we even dared you to do it?
Yeah, there's finally an app for that!
More Information by Customer Type
Our app breaks down the cultural and psychological barriers that prevent us from meeting the people who are around us every day and form lasting bonds with those people more quickly. Whether you are trying to meet business contacts, new friends, a romantic partner, or just a momentary conversation, Maka Social makes it easy.
Bars & Cafes
If you own or manage a bar, cafe, or similar venue, your biggest competition is not other venues. It's the grocery store. Even before Covid, the industry was shrinking due to a rising number of consumers deciding it can be cheaper and just as much fun to have some friends over and drink at home. This is likely to worsen as quarantined consumers get more used to the idea.
Experiences that customers don't get at home like meeting new people are going to become increasingly important. Maka Social can help make meeting people so easy that even the shyest of customers can enjoy it, increasing your audience and increasing your sales.
Colleges & Universities
Mental Health is a huge priority on college campuses and Maka Social can help.
42% of students report moderate to severe anxiety and 25% report depression. Loneliness is the leading cause of both and a strong social network can be the best prevention of both when caused by external stressors.
Most College Students have been stripped of their social network for the first time in their lives and they often struggle to replace it quickly.
Serviceman and women are one of the highest risk groups for depression and suicide. They are asked to perform under extreme stress and pressure and are frequently called upon to move around the country or even around the world with little notice either bringing their families with them into a completely unknown environment or leave them behind missing and important componant of the family unit.
The ability to strongly form new social ties under these conditions can help buffer our military members and their families against the stressors that cause depression and anxiety. Tighter bonds based on personal interests can also help strengthen unit cohesion and prevent trauma bonding which can amplify mental illness.
Tighter social networks can help prevent loneliness in family members as well putting less strain on sepeerated families during long deployments.
Literally Anywhere Else that People Gather
We've chosen bars, colleges, and the military as the types of places where we are needed most and we can do the most good, but Maka Social is perfect for enhancing social interactions in any place where people gather. We've had people ask us to sign up their churches, offices, book stores, game shops, and even a grocery store and kayaking group. That last one actually made us rethink our design a little bit. If you've got a place you hang out and want to improve the social environment there, we can work something out.
